The Tiny Details Photography studio is located in Sandy, Utah, just minutes south of Salt Lake City. From extra diapers and wipes, to cute outfits & accessories, to a wide variety of props and backdrops, the photography studio is fully stocked with everything needed for a safe, comfortable and custom newborn session. You get to sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience!

Pricing for each session with Tiny Details Photography starts with a session fee.

Where are newborn photography sessions done?
Newborn photography sessions take place in my fully stocked newborn photography studio in Sandy, Utah, located just minutes south of Salt Lake City, UT. After booking a session, you will receive details about the location and address, as well as details preparation instructions! If you are interested in more of a lifestyle session in your home, please inquire and we can talk about the logistics and pricing of that type of session.
When should I book my newborn photos?
As soon as possible! I suggest booking when you are in your second trimester of pregnancy so that I can plan ahead and save a spot for you. I still work as a pediatric nurse 2 nights a week, and I usually only photograph about 4-5 newborns a month, so my schedule fills up quickly. Please still inquire about availability, even if your baby has already arrived...I may be able to squeeze you in!

What if my baby is already older than three weeks?
Is it too late for newborn photos?
​
Depending on the exact age of your baby, a newborn photo session may still be possible! If your baby still likes to be swaddled, I recommend my Micro Newborn session, where baby stays swaddled in different decorative wraps through a few setups. If your baby is older than 2 months, I suggest booking a milestone session for your baby, where we capture smiles, sitting, crawling, standing or any other milestone your baby will master in the next year.

How do I prepare for my baby's newborn photo studio session?

When you book a newborn session, you will receive my preparation guide that will walk you through how to prepare for your newborn photos. From what to wear, what to bring, and what to expect, the guide is comprehensive and will help you relax knowing all of the tiny details are taken care of!

Do I need to bring outfits for my newborn?
I have a fully stocked studio with outfits that are meant for newborn photography, so they fit and photograph well. Newborns don't love getting dressed and undressed multiple times, so a lot of my newborn photography work involves draping a wrap around the body instead of putting on multiple outfits. In my studio, I have plenty of accessories, wraps, props, and backdrops. I also keep extra diapers, wipes, and individually wrapped pacifiers on hand!
Can my family be included in newborn photos?
If you choose the Deluxe newborn, then you are welcome to include parent and/or siblings in the newborn images. This will allow for the additional time needed to photograph the family members. Any extended family (cousins, grandparents, etc) will be at the photographer's discretion.

What if my baby or toddlers won't cooperate?
​
I have many newborn photography clients that are amazed at the beautiful photos I get, even when their newborn was more awake or their toddlers were active and not perfectly cooperative (because, let's face it, what toddler is perfectly cooperative??). I am very good with children, and I even have a few tricks up my sleeve! I promise to do everything in my power to capture beautiful photos worthy of placing on your walls!

Newborn photography is a unique genre of photography, requiring a time commitment and a level of skill that is unmatched in other studio photography sessions. As an experienced newborn photographer, countless hours have been spent training in safety, posing, and the proper body mechanics of newborn physiology. My newborn photography studio is also filled with high quality backdrops, props, outfits and accessories that are made specifically for newborns. For those on a tighter budget, I do have a Micro Newborn Photography session available. I can also arrange a payment plan for you! ​Newborn photography is definitely an investment, but one you will never regret!
