From extra diapers and wipes, to cute outfits & accessories, to a wide variety of props and backdrops, the photography studio is fully stocked with everything needed for a safe, comfortable and custom newborn session. Hello, I'm Jami, and my journey through life has been a beautiful blend of compassion, care, and creativity. With over 26 years of experience as a pediatric ICU nurse, I've dedicated my career to nurturing the health and well-being of little ones during their most vulnerable moments.

Where are newborn photography sessions done?
Newborn photography sessions take place in my fully stocked newborn photography studio in Sandy, located just minutes south of Salt Lake City, UT. After booking a session, you will receive details about the location and address.
When should I book my newborn photos?
As soon as possible! I only book a certain number of photography sessions per month, as I also still work as a pediatric nurse. I suggest booking in the second trimester so that I can plan ahead and save a spot for you! Always inquire about potential spots, even if your baby just arrived. I may be able to work out a time slot for your studio newborn photos.
What if my baby is already older than 3 weeks? Is it too late for newborn photos?
Depending on the exact age of your baby, a newborn photo session may still be possible. We could also schedule a milestone photography session to capture smiles, sitting, standing or any other milestone your baby will master in the next year.
How do I prepare for my baby's newborn photo studio session?
When you book a newborn session, you will receive my preparation guide that will walk you through how to prepare for your newborn photos. From what to wear, what to bring, and what to expect, the guide is comprehensive and will help you relax knowing all of the tiny details are taken care of!
Do I need to bring outfits for my newborn?
No. I have a fully stocked studio with outfits, accessories, wraps, props and backdrops. I also keep extra diapers, wipes, and individually wrapped pacifiers on hand!
Can my family be included in newborn photos?
The Keepsake Collection includes parent and/or sibling photos with the newborn session. Any extended family (cousins, grandparents, etc) will be at the photographer's discression. They most likely will need to be booked as a separate session.
What if my baby or toddlers won't cooperate?
I have many newborn photography clients that are amazed at the beautiful photos I get, even when their newborn was more awake or their toddlers were active and not perfectly cooperative (because, let's face it, what toddler is perfectly cooperative??). I am very good with children, and I even have a few tricks up my sleeve! I promise to do everything in my power to capture beautiful photos worthy of placing on your walls!

Why is newborn photography so expensive?
Newborn photography is a unique genre of photography, requiring a time commitment and a level of skill that is unmatched in other studio photography sessions. As an experienced newborn photographer, countless hours have been spent training in safety, posing, and the proper body mechanics of newborn physiology. My newborn photography studio is also filled with high quality backdrops, props, outfits and accessories that are made specifically for newborns. For those on a tighter budget, I do have a Petite Newborn Photography session available. I can also arrange a payment plan for you!
